I have a battery grip for my D50, an after market one (Mercury brand) it works alright, but it doesnt have a vertical shutter release. Any of you have sad /good experience on say Ownusers brand etc? Let's hear them.

i just bought MB-D80 Battery Grip for my D80 and it works just fine. nice kaau tanawun ang camera kai nidaku cya plus nicompliment cya sa ako Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 kai damu man ni na lens and bugat so mas ok tanawon run ako D80 with this lens and grip. vertical shutter works properly no issue about it but very sensitive shutter i must say.
another good thing in D80 battery grip you can use 2 battery at the same time but the camera use one battery at a time so if ang right slot is low bat na, u can take it off to charge and the camera will use the left slot. for me its nice feature.
the best thing if naa kai battery grip macho kaayo ang camera... chix magnet.. hahaha.. they won't know what imo unit pero they know that's it..
please comment pa guys, so that we can get more info on this very useful camera accesory, any comments from "Ownuser", "xym" brand "targus" etc..let' hear if its work fine, the shutter release? does it stop halfway? etc
my body is a nikon D40 and im putting an OWNUSER battery grip on it. so far, so good. my only complain is, sometimes, the grip loosens up. although it loosens up just a little bit against the body, i find it uncomfortable. nevertheless, it serves my purpose of having a battery grip- ADDITIONAL WEIGHT.
if youre looking for half-press/autofocus feature on this grip, then forget it on a D40/x/60 body.
mostly but im not sure if all, the shutter release of battery works tha same as the primary shutter release, and in nikon all the battery grip has command dial and sub command dial and work the same the as primary shutter, sub/command dial. and in D80 batt grip you can turn on/off the shutter release of the grip to avoid accidental shot/clicking
i agree on this, my friend na loose thread iya 3rd party grip sa iya D40 kai iya gi higpitan ug maau mao to d na matngtang sa iya body ron. ang usa pod nako ka friend dili na niya itaod daw kai dili mufit ug maau and magputol putol daw ang power. maau nalang nag d80 ko and so far wala nako tangtangun ang grip and wala ko issue sa ftting niya sa body maski itaod nako sa trip in vertical position/shooting
