What is the % of the people of Mindanao can afford a condo?
    A reality check, please read this statistics;
NSCB - FAQs on the Official Poverty Statistics of the Philippines

Maybe RocketVision is from a "rich" family. I'm from a poor family. I cannot afford a condo. So RocketVision, how many condo you or your family have got? Do you own a Mall in Davao? Or maybe you own a Dutyfree. How many local Mr. Polano/Ms Polana shop at your dutyfree? Oh, they just window shop...

Only the Pinas population can judge who is arrogant here. Good on you if you can afford a condo and do Mall shopping and dutyfree shopping everyday. But in reality, majority of the Pinas cannot afford to do that. Some even can only do one-day one-eat.

Only foreigners, kurakot politicians, maybe OFW, balikbayans, smugglers, illegal business owners and unfair employers can afford condos. The rest of the Pinoys cannot. THAT's the REALITY.

Good BIG industry is the key. Remember the smart Japanese's comments in my previous post.

A 3-storey apartments is not really a luxury. Someone says it a luxury. You must be kidding.

So a few here thinks that CDO is not developing at a good rate. It doesn't bother me at all if no one believes it. It doesn't affects me or CDO at all if no one believes. They are even too angry to start name calling. Name calling is a sign of limited knowledge and reasoning power.

My reasoning has nothing to do with the "City of Golden Friendship" catch phrase of CDO. Whether I reason against or for someone, the "City of Golden Friendship" has nothing to do with it. Equating "City of Golden Friendship" with hypocrisy is really out of context.

I'm having fun here... because I pissed someone....to the extent they start name calling like, kahilas, hambog, naksuka, etc.

    Maayong adlaw

    cheers,

*davao,s market for condominium and residential projects are not your kind of market. they came from not only mindanao.

*check back and scour the pages of that website again and include nso philippines. it will give you figures on poverty incidence per family between 2 regions:

    davao- 30%
northmindanao: 36% (43% by incidence of total pop)

*you have japanese comment but davao has many more than that reinforced by local and international surveys and other research studies

from an outsiders point of view, the problem escalated and worsened when someone called the people of Mindanao poor, walang pera and ang meron lang pera are those unfair employers, smugglers, illegal businessmen and corrupt politicians....kahit piso, pera pa din yan...I think that's an unfair generalization. That's belittling the whole Mindanao region, short of saying that the the ones in position of uplifting/promoting the Mindanao economy are evil. the posters did not only attack Davao, but the character of the entire Mindanaoans. That attitude should not be tolerated, and the entire Mindanao deserves an apology for that irresponsible comment.

anyways, just my P0.2...depends on what you want, asa nindot puy-an...sa CdO chada puy-an...so to answer the primary question of this thread, sa Davao ang nindot puy-an...nyahahahahahaha!!!!

Water - many parts of world claim that their drinking water is the best. There are companies near the Arctic and Antartic circles that bottle drinking water from Icebergs which are millions of years old. That I believe is the cleaniest. To claim that Amsterdam has the best water is just ridiculus. If you look at Amsterdam, it's made up of lakes, canals and waterways. Many of their land are "reclaimed" from the sea. They build huge seawall for that purpose. I'm sure surface or near surface water (like in Amsterdam) is not as good as Icebergs. Another source of good drinking water is from from the mountain that is filtered along the streams, rocks, and limestone for many kilometers. And that feature, MANY can be found in MisOR, i.e. Cagayan River, Tagoloan river, etc.

Airport - well, LADP is already going on steady. And plan is just a plan it can change anytime. It could be that LADP will belly up or it will launch like a rocket. NOT RocketVision <- really mad at me

Universities - this is a good one. MANY "private" schools in Pinas are just diploma factories. Not many private schools in Pinas are recognised by the Australian (USA and many countries) Immigration. However, almost ALL "State Colleges and Universities" in Pinas is recognise by Australian Immigration. So it's not the quantity of Universities/Colleges in a city indicates that your city is good. It's the QUALITY of the graduates that matters. And CDO (MPSC in particular) is near the top of this. PAASCU is for private schools only. There is an accredatation agency for "State" Colleges and Universities.

RealEstate - thank you very much. Ok Davao wins on Condo. You see I admit now . But I cannot afford a condo.

Taxis - thank you much, again

Malls - when was Victoria Plaza built? I'm still googling something like, LKK Mall was even built earlier than any Mall in Cebu. Because I saw this somewhere else. But I'm pretty sure LKK Mall was the first in Mindanao.

Religion - Maldeita started this. But Bacchus skip it.. hmmmm, I wonder

Extreme Adventure and Fun - CDO is having a lot of extreme fun . We got Cagayan river, Tagolaon river, etc ideal for whitewater fun.
    We got Mapawa too;
Memoirs of Yvonne: Mapawa River Trek - The Ultimate Adventure!

And man the canopy walk at Claveria. Of course you got MT Apo. But Kitanglad ranges is not bad at all. That's why CDO loves Bukidnon We are very close to each other, like brothers and sisters

    cheers,
    Bisaya Dako
*are the fruits of export quality? davao banana it the philippines top traditonal export earner

*every locality prides of their drinking watrer quality but not every one get to pass international quaility ratings

*get real dont mislead people. you are leading people to know something that is not there. not a runway has started! stick to your lumbia airport. and that airport has long been serving iligan traffic too.

*real estate development is booming in davao

    *taxis are abound

*malls are expanding until this time and contine to grow. a very sign of stae of local economy

*davao has a big margin over cdo in terms of marketability of tourism products

It's not what is already there. It's the "rate" that a city is doing. And CDO (and CIC) is doing it at a very high rate per capita.
    Just look at this forum;
Laguindingan Airport Development Project - Page 36 - SkyscraperCity

Consider how is this gonna affect the entire region. And CDO (and CIC) is at the forefront of that.

Fruits? MisOr and NorMin has fruits
Water? Cagayan river will tell you that.
Modern Airport? check the link above.
Real Estates? haha, CDO got many, i.e. Xavier Estate, Koresco, Ayala, etc.
Best Unitversities? we got XU. MPSC board exam passing rate is one of the highest in Pinas.
Christian? that's racist really. I'm Agonistic. What is wrong w/ Muslim (except fundamentalist)?
Bank? like we don't have banks in CDO? hahahaha
Taxi? you must be joking really. Even Cebu cab drivers envy the CDO cabs.
Malls? If I'm not mistaken LimKetKai Mall is the first in Mindanao.

As I said, it's not how much your city got now. It's the rate that the city is going. And CDO is way up ahead and it's starting to use it's afterburner.

    cheers,
    Bisaya Dako
*per capita of what. if its economic growth rate, its not double digit to say very high. and its the regional econmy not cdo city. iligan city is there too. and the growth is agric led which may not be sustained. latest data was a growth difference of 1 percentage point(2006 vs 2007). davao region did more than 2 %points.

*whats in the forum that gives real lot of whats present and real happening on the economy and the glossy opinions of enthusiansts on that yet to rise airport

*realestate names they have. after years and decades of selling are they filled up?

*numeber of banks and financial institutions in cdo gives picture how big the city economy is. by far, davao is way ahead.

*what about the rate of going were you talking about. is it like cdos is on the only economy growing? update yourself. armm ha a share of big growth too. stick in your mind, while cdo is growing you thought very fast, davao and some other regions are growing at their own rate. davao is not far behind. and cdo growth at rate of davaos can never surpass economic advancement and urbanity of davao city unless it continues to grow against zero to negative growth rate of davao for years.

Kaizer put his valuable advice in good word and he is appreciated, don't attempt to make it ugly.
Please read all my postings. And see whether I said; "Davao is this and that"
I didn't badmouth any City at all.

What I did is say is; "CDO is this and that". I'm just marketing CDO
