Well, i was referred by my bf. It was too hard to land a job after i graduated, so while i was applying in an R&D i also started applying in only 2 call centers. In just one day, i was hired in e**l. I was excited to work right away so i didn't bother to continue applying in my field.
My course is BSCS. My work right now is not related to my degree yet there are few applications that made me work well here bec. of my educational background. My account handles VoIP service & when we troubleshoot the issue, we also have to look into scripts & since am already familiar w/it, its easier for me to resolve the issue. When it comes to troubleshooting internet connection & other hardware, am also at the edge compared to my other colleagues for i already had a background in networking way back in college.
My job is something to be proud of! Unlike few individuals who are just saying that working in call center makes one a dumb person, well i say to them they are definitely wrong! Being an eRep requires sufficient skills in order to meet the target. I've learned too many things with my call center experience. Good thing is my account is not letting us follow any script so its much more of building your own rapport in order to satisfy the customer. Your wit, guts & artistry will be tested here as well. If you wanna know how, then be one of us instead of saying we are just sitting & reading scripts!
If am not in call center, i would be working in an R&D as programmer..
