I passed by Colon at 11:20 pm Sunday and saw Compumasters with a large poster which says"This establishment is closed...order of the mayor". Compusters is a computer store since the 1980's but has an internet cafe now. That is the only establishment with that notice that i noticed as i passed by colon and then turned to Leon Kilat St. to go through Sanciangko St. and going to Taboan Market. Several internet cafe's were still open and at that late hour which is also raining.I'll ask my sister to call up her friend on Monday who is the brother of the owner to inquire about Computemasters situation. I wonder if they were closed because they are a computer store and not as an internet cafe since they are the only one I noticed that was closed by the mayor.
I hope for more confirmations about these raids. Most internet cafes are not multimillion-peso businesses. All are capital intensive and for the whole lifetime of the business. For such a cutthroat endeavor i'm trying hard to look for alternative businesses for financial security even if my talents and management skills are only in the information technology.
