Why not wait for it? A new theme is not number one priority right now. Everything works without a new theme. 2.2.0 is not a long way off. phpBB follows the Linux kernel style versions. 2.x where x is odd means the the release is unstable and will never be released as stable ... and will forever remain in development. 2.1 has been in development for quite some time. When 2.1 becomes stable enough, it will be feature frozen and become 2.2. So no ... it's not that long way off to merit upgrading right now. There is also a module for istorya being developed that will not be released for 2.0.x. Trying to finish the project for 2.0.x and then finding out that major changes have been made to 2.2 takes too much time ... and no, this doesn't only concern the templating system.

I sugggest you stop advertising your site and work with your code. That is entirely an HTML/CSS problem, nothing more. Lazy design.
