salamat diay botslob...katawa ko sa imong avatar

In addition, in Jewish tradition and as also described in the Bible, Sabbath starts sunset of Friday and ends sunset of Saturday (see Mark 16:1 and 15:42-47). However, the problem of when to begin and to end the observance of the Sabbath (if you strictly follow what the Bible prescribes) is undoubtedly hard or even impossible to keep the Sabbath according to the sunset reckoning. We all know that there are places in the world where the sun rises or sets very early or very late or not at all during certain periods of the year like in the Artic for example.

Pero nganong ato man gyud lisud lisuron atong kaugalingon just to cleave strictly upon every dot and dash in the Bible when Sabbath observance has already been declared in the New Testament as no longer significant in the salvation process (Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2, Colossians 2:16-17, and Revelation 1:10)?

Sadly IMHO, the Sabbath doctrine happens to be one of the results of extreme adherence to Sola Scriptura or the misuse of it.

Does it really matter? I think the point is to devote one day to Him regardless of whether or not it's a Saturday or a Sunday. Just my 2 cents though.

thats what you think bro outside the Bible. even @brownprose said "Saturday of course..."

    your both catholics right?

    who made the changes?

    Canon and Tradition, p. 263
"The authority of the church could therefore not be bound to the authority of the Scriptures, because the Church had changed...the Sabbath into Sunday, not by command of Christ, but by its own authority."

note: not be bound to the authority of the Scriptures and not by command of Christ.

Do Catholic authorities acknowledge that there is no command in the bible for santification of Sunday
    ?
    They do.
"You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify." James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers (1917 ed.), pp. 72,73.

changed from Saturday to Sunday, not by Jesus Christ but by men outside the authority from Scriptures.

Proverbs 14:12 - "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death".

What kind of worship does the Saviour call that which is not according to God's commandments?
Matt. 15:9 - "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrine the commandments of men."

    simply God says:
John 14:15 - "If ye love me, keep my Commandments".

sir question lang.. do you really follow everything about the sabbath day?
is what you posted here means that most of the world is doomed already since we observe sunday as the 7th day?
do you really think we Catholics are not worthy of the kingdom of heaven since we observe sunday as the
7th day? if yes then il convert now..

Saturday is the 7th day of the week (by most standards). In the US and the Philippines, Sunday is still the first day as shown on the calendar, but Sunday is included as part of the "weekend". It's ironic, but somehow that is how it is. Some European countries have calendars that clearly show Monday as the start of the week.

If you're asking about the Sabbath in the Bible, it's the Jewish Sabbath which is Saturday (or more accurately, from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday).
Most Christian denominations worship on Sunday because this is the day when Jesus Christ resurrected.

For those bothered by what's written in the Bible: The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath" (Mark 2:27)

(Am not the religious type though and haven't been to church myself for quite some time, so am not going to engage on a scripture debate with those who disagree with my views here).
