This is but a sad reality. Being a product of USC-BSN program, I personally affirm the fact that the quality of the programme in USC-nursing is quite lenient when it comes to student selectivity and I mean it with no Antipathy ..A lot of Lazy-RICH-Alcohol Lover-Disinterested-Party lover folks in the college that survived in the program.
a very undeserving to get a nursing education..
As of the Faculty Caliber. I dont think there is a problem on it. almost 80% of the faculty obtained their MAN and some are still on-going while the dean herself(a velez graduate) obtained her M.A.N. @ UP Manila College of Public Health and M.S.N. @ Queens College in New York( a scholarship grant)
its just a matter of MONEY-MAKING/PROFIT-ORIENTED scheme of those CASH-COW PRIEST to just "accept-accept-accept without curbing the quality of its graduates" halos ilang gi manipulate ang college nya ug naay mahagbong tawag dayun c father ..hmmmm
anywayz.. I took the June 08 NLE with a mere SELF-STUDY(I dont have the money to enroll in a top caliber Review Center but honestly I dont trust any..I just want to work on my own ass) and YES I passed the board exam abode with pride not on my SCHOOL's TRAINING but ON MY OWNSELF....passing the Board is personal hardwork with school training as a flavor
most of the June takers in our batch were not properly scaled and selected.. kana laging wai spring board este preboard mao nang mo dive nalang sa pool nga wai tubig.....hahaha!!!
for those who didn't pass well it doesn't assume for instance that your automatically not good at something valuable. Passing an exam does not guarantee that you can help your sick patients with your nsg. interventions, fix your financial problem, have your own theory of nursing, or have a brighter future. It doesn't mean that a board/school flunkers like Einstein and Shakespeare that are no good in school/boards will have an unfavorable future..you shape your own future
I would love an intelligent exchange here rather than bashing/comparing each other
