i am not a teacher but i do train people. i find that the best way to teach people is to have them learn without them knowing that they are make learning fun. its hard enough to get their attention find different approaches the more unusual the better.

I just finished teaching a one-on-one student na 12 years old.. KOREAN jed.. but he already knows how to speak english.. even bisaya having lived here in the philippines for 3 years na..

he was so restless and so uninterested that one day i brought my laptop to let him play..
since then... i used the reward system on him..
anyway, the lessons were not so boring because everything was tailor-made for him na..

try making the lessons more for kids, like relatng to super heroes, sports, games..etc.
try it if you have liberty to do so. if you don't suggest it to the supervisor..

you have to understand that kids won't be happy with the classroom lecture method,
    especially rich kids..

so during my class, more often than not, we run around pinching each other and tickiling each other.. and the good part was... i was happy with my job. hehe.. that was a good few weeks of lessons..

just make sure kahibawo ka asa ra taman ang limitations sa reward system. Also, it is different from one subject to another or even one topic to another.

    I beg to disagree maam.

In the real world, that concept is not true. Especially if you ae a teacher in a public school system of the Philippines. No matter how you try, you would lose everything. Unless, of course, if duol ka sa luwag.
