Would it really matter what people think? In the end its the mother's choice. What people think will not abort a child, what the mother will be deciding in the end is what will bring about the abortion.

She is the one who will decide that she wants the child aborted. Ok, there might be pressure from parents, family, friends, bf, etc.

Contraceptives would not apply to Mary, she didn't accidentally get pregnant, she was consulted prior to the conception. It was free will.

I agree with johnny22aa. Manny, if makakita lang unta ka sa situation sa atong mga babaye (maybe you have, wa ko kabaw). Thinking as a health professional, spacing between pregnancies is very important to A WOMAN'S HEALTH!!! Lisud kaayo makialam and Catholic Church aning butanga when we all know for a fact that this "Church" is run by MEN! men who CLAIM TO BE CELIBATE! ug makakita lang jud intawon ka sa kahimtang sa atong mga mothers. Try visiting the OB wards sa atong public hospitals. Sa Vicente Sotto alone, we have a ward with 60 beds, usahay ang mga mothers maabot ug 120 or more. You see 3 patients sharing a single bed. Most of these women have many children, ang uban ma-shock ka kay bisan birthday sa ilahang mga anak nakalimtan na nila. WAy pamilete padung pauli, muanhi sa hospital para manganak and bisan piso, walay dala. And many of these women WANT information about birth control methods which are available to them, only nga kasagaran dili ganahan ilang mga bana. Kapait sa manganak MAAAAN! and a woman's body needs rest after giving birth, ang nindut nga interval is 3 years. Para makarecover ang uterus and the whole system from the extreme stress. How else can we give these women a chance. All women have the right to information and to decide what's best for them and their bodies. Unfair pud kaayo kung ma-deprive mi ani.

People have different views on GOd and Religion, not all people believe in God and the Church and not all Filipinos are CAtholics. I have read the act, and so did my superiors sa work. Manlimbawot akong balahibo reading your statements, because you can't seem to see the bigger picture. Who do you think will have a better future? a child from a family of 4 who gets enough attention from his parents (not to mention time and financial support)? or a child with 9 siblings whose mother can't even feed him, not even remember his birthday? LET'S FACE IT! nanginahanglan man gani ug money magbuhi ug pet, how much more ang bata? I know that you cited numerous facts from different experts, but be practical and look at the situation for yourself. MUTUO RA KO UG BALIK SA SIMBAHAN UG MAKAKITA KO NILA NGA MUPAKAON UG MAGPASKWELA ANING MGA BATAA. This issue has made me lose what little faith I had in the Church. I cannot believe that an institution which claims to preach love and forgiveness, and advocates that God gave us Free Will can be run by a bunch of MEN nga way kalibutan what it's like to get pregnant and to give birth, nga magbuot pa jud aning butanga.

Wa pa pud ka nakamention sa diseases which are prevented by using condoms. How can BARRIER CONTRACEPTIVES BE CONSIDERED ABORTIFACIENTS? they prevent fertilization in the first place, so there's nothing to abort, to begin with. Abortion is the expulsion of products of conception. Kung way conception, way abortion. Unsaon na lang ang spread sa STD's ani... (hinaot naggamit unta ug condoms tong mga pari nga molesters, kay luoy ang ilang victims)

Winning by numbers siguro aim sa Catholic Church. Padaghanon ang population. Without considering the welfare of families, especially the mothers. We all have the right to decide what we feel is best for our bodies ug para sa atong peace of mind.

That's because the picture about Mary is plurium interrogationum. I disagree with cebu-future. Silly would be an understatement. I would say you are illogical.

    Non sequitur.

You haven't identified the premise that makes it loaded. Seeing that 80% of Filipinos are Catholic, it is hardly loaded at all. The circumstances Mary had to face
are the same as those that make people tell women to abort.

More importantly, now ad hominems are not only less silly, are they more logical too?

How can BARRIER CONTRACEPTIVES BE CONSIDERED ABORTIFACIENTS?
The pill, mini-pill, Depo-provera, and Norplant are NOT merely barrier contraceptives. The have an abortifacient function. Even the makers of the Pill describe how it creates a hostile endometrium. These are abortifacient. The information is in the previous posts.

We all have the right to decide what we feel is best for our bodies ug para sa atong peace of mind.
What about the rights of the murdered child? Oh yeah, I forgot... some conveniently like to think of them as less than human.
