"the postal service" is the brainchild of ben gibbard(dcfc vox) ug jimmy tamborello(DNTEL) ug occasionally apil si jenny lewis(rilo kiley vox) as backup vox. maong gitawag na sila ug the postal service kay the process or how they manage to complete their song is thru the postal system or fedex or whatever. or in layman's term, magpadad-anay lang sila sa ilang part since they're on a different location. ben gibbard sends his vocal duty(along with chris walla's guitar melodies) to tamborello. and they all mix it to make it as a song...so there.

btw, translanticism was,imho, the band's happiest album.
