.. it lived up to it's hype. Ledger's The JOker is really something else, everything about the character is wicked, his demeanors, his behaviour and his gestures are awesome. Chris Nolan has got all the elements into place, except for one thing, the casting of Gyllanhaall as Rachel, i can't seem to continue my affection for the character since the actress is different. They should have sticked with Katie, Rachel's gonna die anyway. hehe. Anyway, it's 10 out of 10 for me.

they did try to get the services of katie but apparently there was a conflict with her schedule and they have to shoot immediately thats why they acquired the services of Gyllenhall instead...

actually the hype was already there when they casted ledger to play the role of the joker. people were eager to see how he would be able to play the role.

for me the movie was great. ledger portraying as the joker made Jack Nicholson's portrayal forgetfull..

Just came from a screening, and I cannot contain my praise for this film.

And I thought Iron Man was the best superhero movie ever made. The Dark Knight topped it off with brilliant flying colors. This is the epitome of superhero movie -- mind-blowing visual and special effects plus hardcore action sequences are just icing to the complex, deep and substantive plot. And you cannot think of a better cast than here. Heath Ledger's Joker now ranks with Hannibal and Darth Vader as the ultimate movie villains.

It had everything I hoped for beyond the hype, and much more. It got me off handed because I thought I knew Chris and Jonathan Nolan so well (after seeing all their movies from Following to Memento to Insomnia to Batman Begins to The Prestige). Whew! Bravo Nolans. I can only think of the painstaking process they went through to interweave the complex schemes both Batman and the Joker had in mind. It's basically a game of who will outwit who. And a movie as this type to touch the core of humanity and mortality just shrugs the other superhero movies aside. I wouldn't be surprise for Ledger's Oscar nom nor a Best Pic nom.

This is the best superhero movie ever made and the best movie I've seen so far this year. Period.

the film was great... effects, storyline and all..

i've loved batman since i was young kadto naa pa ni sa channel 3 (abs-cbn)
watching it on the big screen brings back those days, only this is way wwaaaayyyyyyyy better..Ü
