thanks for the nice words.
Hey! I'm new to the forums, just found out about this informative forum doing google searches on PAL aviation school, even though I cannot understand Cebuano (I apologize) I still found it to be helpful.
Does PAL aviation school have an official website? I'm still in the dark about this school and I have tons of questions if someone is able to answer some of them it would help me alot. Ang mga informasyon na collect ko tungkol sa PAL av school are from various sources, some conflicting with others. For example, when I made a recent phone call to the school itself and asked about guaranteed employment with PAL upon completion of the program, they told me there is no guarantee and yet I see in my internet searches people saying otherwise.
Can someone explain to me why some people are saying this particular school is like boot camp and is it really? Honestly, I don't really mind if it is the case, I just want to know what I'm getting into.
And what is the atmosphere and schedule like in there? For those who had been inside the building, what facilities are available for use, is there a gymnasium or a workout schedule or a free-time period to do anything. I'm getting the idea people will be behind walls almost 24/7 other than going out to do some flying. Are there sleeping quarters, or college style dorms, are they even mandatory, and if so, where are they located, in the airport parameters?
2mil is about the price they said I would have to pay. Does it include transportation to the airport and how often do they take you there? Anyone encounter any hidden fees during training with PAL av school?. I might have to take out a loan, so I don't like being surprised if there are such!
On another note, how big is the class on average? What is the age demographics and the student makeup between filipinos and foreigners in the school, not that it matters I like meeting people from all backgrounds anyway.
What books do they use for their training course (i.e. Jepessen)?
I know it's a long list of questions but I really want to get a perspective from someone outside the school because I'm seriously considering permanent residence in the Philippines and applying for re naturalization after nearly 15 years abroad. I'm 22, a recent graduate, and I'm very excited about getting into Philippine aviation! Maraming salamat for sharing your questions, answers, and thoughts.
