Are online job application sites really effective?

i would say they're not that effective. just this year lang, an HR personnel from my first job called me and asked if i wanted to apply. haler! nag resign na gani ko 3 years ago, nganong mubalik gud tawon ko?! they received my application daw from jobstreet. i do have an account there but i did not and will never apply to that company again. nya ang ilang position nga gi-offer nako kay dili fit sa akong experience. guess some companies don't really read them or they just have mediocre employees.

for recruitment's point of view, effective xa in the sense that there are a lot of applications coming in for the company where we can possibly get our pool of hires for a particular hiring ang challenge lang kay dili au xa effective for all applicants na niapply through those sites na gusto maprocess daun kay dili man pud sila maato ug matawagan daun tanan kay daghan man au mi madawat na applications taga adlaw sa among mailbox on top sa mga madawat namo sa mga online job application websites...ingon ana..pero somehow maau pud bya nang mga online job application websites kay dili au ka mahago ug mogasto pag au sa fare (na nimahal na karon, hehe) na moadto ug mopass sa imong resume sa tanan companies na gusto nimo applyan...ang imo na lng kay mowait ug call kung unsa ilang feedback about sa imong gipass like if moadto ka ila company for exam or unsa...

by the way, ako pud was hired through online job applications..mao somehow effective jud xa kaso lng it would also entails some patience for you to wait for your application to be processed..(=
