Hi Guys,

kabalo jud ko maayo kaayo mo ani,,, need help.

successfully installed the ubuntu software on my laptop and it was great.
Pero di ko kabalo unsaon pag setup to access wireless connection. Naa mo bal-an na step-by-step procedure unsaon pag setup? Like sa wireless hotspot and sa ako own na wireless connection.

Hi Puzlia. Please visit ubuntu forums and do a search using your wireless card model as search key. It probably has a how to for that.

Generally, since you did not specify your wireless card, you may have to install a proprietary wireless driver. Ubuntu has a Hardware Driver manager to do this for you. Just click System>Administration>Hardware Driver. Your wireless card is probably listed there if it still needs a driver.

When you have installed the driver and your wireless card has come into life, you can set up your wireless connection by clicking System>Administration>Network.

Visited ubuntu forum. i have a built-in wifi on my laptop. There's no problem when using Windows Vista, i can access the wifi connection. 3 days ago pa jud intawon ko nag install ani, super noob jud intawon ko ani. i just need help.

@ Burikoy mura ikaw ra jud maka tabang nako. I dont have any friends using this OS.

This weekend mag overtime ko unsaon padagan.

Just want a layman's term procedure on how to setup the wireless.

Dili seguro ang Pidgin maoy best alternative sa YM. Personally mas lingaw gamiton ang Gyachi which supports webcam, file transfer, photo sharing, voice chat (sa Yahoo rooms).

gyachi good functionality.. pidgin better ui!!!

@puzlia : What distro are you using? I currently running openSUSE 11 from UBUNTU Hardy Heron.

IMHO opensuse runs faster and is more stable than Hardy... im running it on my laptop, Core Duo 1.66Ghz, 2gb ram, x1600 vcard.
