It's a bit presumptuous to think that anyone in the Philippines whether it be an individual, a corporation, or the government has any power over oil prices when the Philippines doesn't have any of it's own oil. The Philippines is subject to the whims of Opec just like most of the world.
this rise in oil prices is very frustrating...i just hope the middle east countries wont ride on too much of this law of supply and demand thing....they are very rich because of their oil....their officials have mansions, luxurious cars etc...becoz of their oil......their country is developing into an ideal destination for tourism or whatsoever becoz of their oil....they now become very hi-tech/advanced....bcoz of their oil....everything becoz of their oil......the oil that almost everybody is using............so i think the only remedy for this problem is to minimize our usage of their oil........
maypa mg bike. hahaha. mayta ma push throu na to ang study bwt sa "human as an energy source."

OT:
i just read that Honda is now leasing their limited Honda FCX Clarity hydrogen car this summer 2008 with initial availability limited to the Southern California market. At present, one unit costs more than $100K but they said once mass production is started, it would bring down price below $100K. which is mahal gihapon.
i think i will bet my 2 cents more on the car of the future that is run on COMPRESSED AIR.
try google "AIR CAR".
