hello bro, i started a complete ignoramus on car audio... and after 2 decades, i still have a lot to learn c",)
naa didto magtapok ang mga car audio gurus bro, and you don't have to be bashful.

anyway, about your question, i suggest the following:
1. headunit - this is one of your biggest investments
2. good front speakers (2- or 3-way separates or coax) - this is your 2nd big investment;
- you can run these off your headunit at first, while saving up for a decent amp
3. amp for your front speakers (2 channel will do) - any amp will be better than the hu's built-in amp; try to get one that will feed your speakers with enough clean power
4. deadening for your doors - to improve mid-bass sound from your front speakers
5. wiring/power distribution blocks - for better cable management; you need forward planning for this just in case you decide on having a more complex system
6. big 3 / 5- or 8-point grounding - for better electricity flow, also good if you plan on using subs later

if you're the type who enjoys just a little bass,
7a. get an active sub (~100w - 150w) - these are usually small, and give good in-car bass

or, if you're the type who can't have enough bass,
7b. save up for your subwoofer system (amps, subs, sub box)

8. when you start to hear rattles, you need more deadening

at this stage, you're no longer a noob and i'm sure you'll be well-equipped for the next stages of your system.

it might seem a long time before step 7 but i assure you, the wait will be worth it, and along the way, you will enjoy your system. try to invest in quality products, ayaw "mantiner lang" kay you might end up spending more down the line...
