Are online job application sites really effective?

Applying for a jobs online are reliable enough especially if your applying abroad. They prefer online applicants for sorting out the candidates.

i dont think so. you see. in every industry, its still easier to process someone who is actually there already. and with regards to the TOR's and other requirements, there is understandably a certain amount of delay with regards to acquiring them. plus, these online application process companies often charge a certain amount, which compared with the volume of applicants generated by media ads(newspaper, radio, etc) is more expensive in the long run. plus the time delay in processing the applications received online is significantly greater than processing someone who walked in already
