abi nako d maapil... kay ang mga naa sa list, if kahinumdom lng ko, in no particular order... naay sta. rosa laguna, manila, marikina, makati, iloilo, bacolod, (kalimot nako sa uban... hihi)... og sa dihang... drum roll... number 1 man ang cebu oie...

i think it is true. Cebu is the richest province in the country.

i think being "rich" means Cebu has the biggest net assets (income & non-cash assets minus liabilities) as compared to the other provinces in the country. AFAIK, Cebu is also debt-free.

And common sense will dictate that if Gov Gwen has officially stated that Cebu is the richest province, she could surely have statistical basis why she is telling us that. otherwise, she can't & won't state it.

and Davao may be the largest in terms of land area but it is not the richest.

LAGUNA was the richest province per 2001 survey. Cebu was only 8th then. I guess times have changed a lot in Cebu now...
