that's the common misconception mn about ilonggo's, tikalon daw becoz before, i dont know the correct term but dghan mn gud ug mga hacienda ngadto and yes, sumtyms maypagka-hambog jud... even cebuanos or other peeps from other places tingali sad oi...

nice mn jud ang mambukal.. kelangan, sau pka didto if dili ka mg-overnyt para kaadto ka sa falls... layo mn sad gud cya sa city, mga 45-1hr pa ang trip. pwede ka ka-stay sa bacolod pension haws which is walking distance from the lagoon, provincial capitol, negros musuem and 1 ride from the san sebastian church...

so far wa pa ko'y nakita nga nindot didto. food is ok but not that great. chicken? you can have chicken anywhere. pobre ra kaayo ang lugar nga mahinumduman lang tungod sa manok. sorry. but it's hardly creative.

i think it's unfair for other people to judge bacolod if they haven't even been to the place.. much less tasted the food there.. you really should try the INASAL chicken of bacolod..

i've lived in bacolod all 23 yrs. of my life.. i would say that bacolod is one of the best cities in the whole philippines.. last year, bacolod was voted on a magazine (asian) survey as the MOST livable city in the philippines last 2007..

although our city doesn't boast great beaches or resorts.. we are the gateway to the neighboring resorts and nature places in Negros Occidental.. you should first see what our island has to offer before you jump to any conclusions..

think again.. our city wouldn't win these awards if we are 'pobre kaayo'.. and for yr. 2007 plng ni ha..

it's the same if we say that cebuanos are "mga udong".. no offense meant..

too bad you tend to just generalize everything.. coz then you won't see how nice we really are here.. hehe..

anyway, maybe it's just the way we talk.. but why is it that the ilonggo guys are labeled "tikalon".. then the girls are labeled "mlambing".. haha.. inconsistent naman kaau oi..

but true to the label 'malambing'.. you'll never experience true "malambing" if you've never been with an ilonggo.. hahaha.. c",)

anyway.. the one thing i missed the most from bacolod while i was staying there at cebu city was the sunset.. cebu's sunset is not the same coz the metro is facing east.. while bacolod faces west.. :o haaay..










but.. bantayan island rocks in cebu thou.. hehehe..
