    Default Setting Up Remote Administration

Hello, does anyone know how to setup remote administration here? The scenario is like this:

There's this internet cafe somewhere and I wanna make the server accessible thru remote administration from my office. The network layout of the internet connection back at the cafe is

    Modem/Router

    |

    Switch/Hub

    |

    Server/Workstation

Will I be able to setup remote administration thru this kind of setup? I would wanna connect to the server and administer the workstations from office.

Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and by the way, the server OS as well as the workstation OS are all in Windows 2000 Pro. Im using Remote Administrator V. 2.2 as the tool.

try ultravnc from sourceforge.net its free.

assuming that you only have one ip address and its static

    - you must have access to the router
    - must have a knowledge on port forwarding.
    - install the ultravnc or any other remote admin software in each workstation including the server.
    - use a different port for each installation, say start with 5900-5920 with server=5900, pc1=5901, pc2=5902 .....
    - configure your router to forward these ports to their corresponding ip address in your local network, if you are using dhcp for your local network, then i hope your router supports port forwarding using the mac address or you can use static address for your LAN.
    - so when you connect its your static ip address xxx.xxx.xxx:5900 for server and replace the port with the ports corresponding the workstations in your list

if you dont have a static ip address we can use www.no-ip.com
