All of a sudden, everybody is shooting movies. It seems after all these years the filmmakers in us suddenly shoot up to assert themselves. I just hope that beyond this digital revolution, the filmmakers are still around to tell the story.

hahaha, mao gyud. i was watching and i didn't know nga minidv diay ilang gi gamit. i just watched it and enjoyed it. after i knew that it was actually shot on minidv i had to watch it again. no difference gyud. ill probably watch it again when it is projected on wide screen cinema.

I don't have the resources to shoot or edit my own videos but I would be more than happy to help anyone where I can. I'm out to gain experience (but some monetary compensation would be great :P ) I'll be out of a regular day job by the end of this week. So, until I find another one, I'll have plenty of free time on my hands.

Most of time now is spent (besides job hunting) on my freelance photography (commercial, event, portrait, fashion, glamour, boudoir, and nude: I've done some cinematography also). I do DV post prod as well and also expereinced in digital audio production for film and video. Also would like to try a hand at fight coordination (I've studied fencing for three years and know a few tricks for filming martial arts).

here is the criteria agreed upon this afternoon for the demo reel which will be shown this coming july 26, 2003 at holy family vilage 5pm at satoy's residence.

Demo reel Criteria

Originality - 30%
Editing - 20%
sound - 10%
Cinematography - 20%
Story - 10 %
Visual Effects - 10 %

For the first time ever in Cebu --- and for that matter for the first time ever outside of Manila --- a competition in demo reel production was initiated and now to be shown on Saturday, July 26, at Satoy's residence in Banilad, starting at 5:00 P.M.

All by budding Cebuano digital film directors, all members of iSTORYA.NET, the demo reel in competition are short and tell of personal journeys into the esoterics. In Jerome Satorre's yet untitled piece, you may find yourself emphatizing with the routine and dilemma of an adolecent on the eve of his circumcision. Not to be outdone, Gurly Maloloy-on will awe you with his skills in computer generated imagery as he lets meteors fall in Cebu and re-invents the 1950s radio serial boy hero Kulas Kusgan with his own version of superpower. And Dwight Buot seems ready to blast your sound system with his heavy metal MTV of a local boys band.
Blongkoy, out of competition, guests this event with animating stills, all title and credit plates of his documentary "Turistang Ahat."
