Pacquiao’s next fight Nov. 8
LAS VEGAS — Top Rank has penciled the date Nov. 8 for Manny Pacquiao’s next and last fight for 2008 and the cities being eyed are Los Angeles, Anaheim and also this city.
As to who Pacquiao’s foe on that date remains a mystery since it would all depend on the outcome of Saturday night’s clash between the Filipino and dangerous David Diaz at Mandalay Bay, somebody close to Top Rank said early Friday morning.
The Diaz bout will be Pacquiao’s 14th appearance on US shores after making his debut here in June 2001.
Since electrifying the boxing world on that night, Pacquiao, acknowledged the world’s top fighter regardless of weight, has also showcased his wares in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Memphis and San Antonio, Texas and several times here in Sin City.
"We don’t know yet who will be Manny’s next fight because it would all depend on what happens Saturday night," said Pacquiao’s confidant Mike Koncz. —Nick Giongco
