apil ko beh.... agi kog vb sauna pero readable man siya... Wa pako kita sa delphi but I think depende ni siya sa application... I heard sad nga sa amo company... gamit nila is delphi and database is Oracle.....

I'm a VB6 programmer for four years now and just a beginner in VB.NET. VB6 and VB.NET can do a lot of things as we know it. Delphi is also great. I'm just starting to learn this language. The main difference between VB6 and Delphi is the programming paradigm. That's what I think. Most VB6 programmers would agree that VB is more readable that's because they are used to reading it and that's the same with Delphi programmers who find Delphi to be readable. Delphi is capable of Object-Oriented programming (OOP) technique which VB6 can't. VB6 is Object-based and not a pure OOP language. That is why Microsoft comes up with VB.NET to compete with the OOP capable languages.

Whatever are their differences it doesn't hurt to learn a new language. Just like learning Chinese or Japanese languages.

Trickyboy, I'll be asking some questions about Delphi on my next post. I know you admire Delphi. I'm studying this language because I just like to learn new things.

Ang Delphi 6 and above is more powerful than VB6 in many ways ! I know this might create flames pero believe me on this !!! Thats why gi pirate sa Microsoft ang lead architech sa Delphi na si Anders Hejlsberg -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anders_Hejlsberg -- para magbuhat sa C# (which is the language used in VB.Net ) . In many ways daghan kaayo concepts from VB.Net na gikan sa Delphi.

Si Anders ang ni buhat sa TURBO PASCAL and Delphi dayon C#.

waaaa.. hmmm... im confused right now.. im used to making VB6 programs.. actually still working on a MLMsys, la lang trip lang.. then i am planning to shirt to VB.net... or should i go for Dephi naa naman sad .Net sa delphi diba? or wla pa??
