oi! karon pako kita aning thread da.. sensya bro Generals..
sa akoa lang ha. basing on my experience, glosso has a slow growth in the first few weeks, especially if they came from emersed state. but once it is established, they grow pretty well. in my 35 gal tank, it took 3 months to cover the foreground area.
when you plant HC or Glossostigma, you could plant it sideways or diagonally. you could even bury it as long as its within an inch of the substrate (assuming you have high lights) mine is 3.1 watts per gal... well, if you are really planning to go on a less maintenance tank, dont go high light, this would tend to make the plants grow faster. medium lighting will do. i dont think you will have a problem with trimming it...dugay man sila managhan jud, not unless you leave your tank for a month or so.
HC, i really dont have much experience but currently, i am planting it on my 8 gal setup emerse, now running running 2 weeks. HC tends to grow fast on much finer substrate.
you could use echinodorus tenellus as foreground too. sa background, if you really want slow grower, nindot unta cyperus helferi...but im not sure naa nata diri. will try to get some though.
