my father was diagnosed na diabetic katong time na naa siya major operation. i think 3-4 years ago...
the best possible cause tingali nga naka trigger ana kay during his younger years, there was a time he started to quit drinking and smoking... pero ang hanging out with friends wala niya giapil pag quit... whenever naa drinking session, every bottle of beer na giinom sa iyang mga migo, katumbas ana a bottle of coke...

sa history sa iyang side sa family, my lola(unfortunate kay they had a poor financial status) had a samad na dili maayo sa iya hips.. sulti sa katiguwangan gipana kuno ug engkanto... pero its definitely diabetes wala lang natarong ug tan-aw sa doctor.

popz: "mao nay mortal sin diri sa kalibutan --->>> walay kwarta... magsiga nalang ang mata..."
momz: "we worked hard to gather wealth... we ended up maintaining our good health"

    hehe, quotes from them...

Recently, I read a Reader's Digest Magazine, November 2007 issue. And naay article about how a diabetic mother of 4 saved her own life. Nice and inspiring story. Just in case you have that issue, it's worth reading. (^_^)V

    hows your sister?

i happen to saw in wowowee 4 months ago (i think) featuring 6 kids nga
naa nay diabetes with their age ranging from 7-12 years old...

im not surprised.. it seems ga-mutate sad ro ang mga sakit kay bisan sakit
pang-tigulang motakod na sa mga batan-on...

it simply means one thing, gakaubos na ang life span sa new generation.
i think ang average lifespan karon sa pinoy kay 50-60 years old na lang..

ako dad kay diabetic.. but weird kaayo ang na happen nako last march kay bali sa diabetes akong problem..instead na high akong blood sugar, low kaayo (hypoglycemia)..maski mag sige kog kaon kay low rajud gihapon..i decided na magpa admit kay naa naman jud ang symptoms sa hypoglycemia nako,bag-o lang ko na nurse(passed the exam last december2007) and maka distinguish ko sa symptoms based sa akong knowledge..mag shke akong kamot ko nya kakuyapon ang feeling nako and cold and clammy akong skin.akong IVF ato kay dextrose plus naa pajud clay i-incorporate sa akong IV na naa pud sugar content para lang mu raise akong blood sugar.and i had to eat a lot jud ato(suya kaayo mga tao ato kay walay bawal nako). daghan na kaayo ko ug prick marks sa akong fingers kay i had to check my blood sugar frequently.twice gi CT-scan akong pancreas kay nag duda akong doc na basin naa koy tumor sa pancreas and we had to wait for my blood test na mu confirm if naa ba jud problem sa akong insulin production, and we had to wait for 2 weeks para sa resullt kay gipadala paman akong blood sa manila(st. luke's medical center) since dili man available ang katong test diri sa cebu..thank god wala koy tumor and normal pud ang result sa akong blood test..and ila gi conclude na exercise induced daw to since it all started kato nag jogging ko,maybe na sobrahan daw plus wala ko ni eat before ko nag exercise. karon, im feeling better already, though naay times na murag mu ubos gihapon akong blood sugar but naa jud improvement.before, i had to eat every 2-3 hours a day..maski katugon kaayo ko inig kadlawn kay i had to wake up and eat..karon kay maka sleep nako for 8 hours straight..it was really an ordeal for me and my family coz kuyaw pud baya ang low ug blood sugar,15 minutes lang na wala'y supply imung brain ug sugar kay dead meat naka.
