"i think it's more of STANDING BY YOUR VALUES, PRINCIPLES, & VIRTUES. The longer u will be in politics, the bigger the chances that your principles and values will be eroded by the political environ around u. it is just a matter of how you keep them from being eroded."
---GIDDYBOY
Age wont matter as long as its NEW BLOOD and NEW FACE with an EYEBROW RAISING PLAN .
Daghan bata pod sama nila SUN SHIMURA and DURANO as an example but these are POLITICAL DYNASTIES .
" A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. " - 2nd Amendment , Bill of Rights of the United States of America
mao sab ang nka apan. gkan sa political dynasty.
other than Herbert Bautista as one example of "young age doesn't matter in politics" and no political dynasty involved, here's another one:
Francis Joseph "Chiz" Guevara Escudero. While his father was a former cabinet member of the Marcos and Ramos administrations, the Escudero family is nowhere near of forming a political dynasty.
Escudero's gradual initiation into politics and into the art of addressing big crowds began in his teens in the '80s, when he helped organize the local campaigns of his father. Escudero explained: "In 1984, I was part of the postering brigade in my dad's campaign for assemblyman. In 1987, I handled the youth.
- at age 20, Chiz was awarded Youth Achiever in the Government Sector (Development of the Filipino Youth) . He was a member of the Alpha Phi Beta Debating Team which was the 1991 U.P. Open Debate Champion. It was during this time that Escudero got his first victory as a debater when, as a "frat man," he was "politely ordered" by his seniors at the Alpha Phi Beta fraternity to represent the group in the campus-wide gab fest.
- at age 22, he was Secretary General, Association of Law Students of the Philippines
- at age 28, he served his first term in the 11th Congress. he was then the Most Outstanding Congressman of the 1st Session of the 12th Congress. He was Most Outstanding Solon (League of Press Associations of the Philippines).
ALL I CAN SAY IS, WOW !!!

naa pa gyuy lain:
Michael "Mike" Tan Defensor
- at age 23, Defensor was elected as a Quezon City councilor in the 1992 elections, making him the youngest member of that body.
- at age 26, Defensor ran for congressman of the third district of Quezon City in the 1995 election, subsequently winning and making him the youngest congressman of the 10th Congress.
- at age 29, Reelected in 1998, Defensor was voted by his party-mates as assistant minority floor leader of the Eleventh Congress.
AGAIN, WOW!!!
human knowledge, skill and abilities are infinite... so why question them if they can do the job correctly?.. but on the illegal parts well thats a different story..
For me age doesn't matter.. What matters most is the truthfullness to serve the people and do what is right as expected as a public servant...Kay unsaon mana ang sakto sa age but dili sincere mo serbisyo sa publico, but i guess I'm just very idealistic because it's very hard to find that kind of politicians now a days in the Philippines. PEACE :>
dapat lang. but more importantly, we all should look at the credentials of the candidates. the youth now are more versatile and knowledgeable in doing things and can even do and give more.
it matters... in a way that the young ones are less corrupt than the trapos... but sad to state that this is just a vicious cycle. the younglings would eventually turn out to be Trapos
