True kay we are looking at the performance side pero still comparing the 2 ie BMW325 and a Corolla is not comparable tungod bisan same entry level sila pero di sila ka level . Performance wise , layo ra kaayo ang 1.6L i compare sa 2.5 L na makina .

Ikaduha mo last long ang German cars , true kay base sa quality of craftmanship but still would boil down on how one takes care of the car . Asian cars in general ? If i-apil nato Korean cars walay labot gyud but to give you an insight on Japanese cars ... why do we always see COROLLAS and SENTRAS as the choice of TAXI OPERATORS ? Its not because its cheaper n and more economy fuel wise but its how DURABLE it is , tried and tested in the Philippine roads , sobra pa sa tried and tested , TORTURED and ABUSED pa . German cars also would require expensive maintenance to keep it up to par .
hehehe.. tinood. mahal jud ang maintenance sa german cars...pero worth it man sad gud hinoon...
another reason nga daghan toyota and nissan nga taxis is the fact nga cheap lang ang replacement parts and this is so because daghan mga dili OEM ang nag manufacture ug replacement parts (again for the reason nga daghan gagamit ani nga cars sa philippines). But in terms of durability, I don't think so. Lisod man sad i prove hinoon kay taxi's are abused man gud. Pero I had a friend who has a corolla and medyo fragile dyapon gamay ang mga corollas.

Tinood sad jud hinoon ngaa it matters how you take care of your car. So if mopalit mo 2nd hand, it would be best if tan-awon ninyo kinsa ang previous owner.

Its very important to know the history of a USED CAR when buying . I personally would avoid to buy a USED CAR if its :

    - LADY DRIVEN
    - SLIGHTLY MODIFIED to LOOK FAST ( LOLZ )
    - ACCIDENT HISTORY
    - BUY and SELL ESTABLISHMENTS

@ POY ... That is one of the main reasons why HONDA doesnt allow their automobiles to be used as a TAXI because they are afraid that its built wont last compared to NISSANS , MITSUBISHIS and TOYOTAS . That is the very core why HONDAS has a high resale value because people know that it was not ABUSED at all on a median level of owners because ideal owners of Hondas are the semi proffessionals age group . Sa US , the resale value of a HONDA is nothing different from other manufacturer comparable to its level .

Bisan unsa na manufacturer naay available na OEM parts , its just that JAPANESE OEM are readily available though it doesnt have to be cheap at all .

price of spare parts for german cars is really the object but its the special shop for it you can just have it shop anywhere unlike japanese and korean cars, for europian cars you should go for big and trusted shops and in cebu only two autoparts store that are selling parts excluding the distrubutor not all the time BMW parts are expensive... just like my BMW 318i bought a brandnew waterpump and it only cost around Php.2k and with 1 year warranty. while our honda civic waterpump cost more no warranty, and talking about fuel econmy at my experience my BMW 318i (1.8L using V power) is more economical than my hyundai excel (1.5L using eithier unleaded or V power) my excel is more gas guzzler even its only 1.5L

Its only structured theory pod bro from reliable sources , it doesnt mean walay lig-on or dali maguba . I wont consider it as a fact yet . Heck I used to drive an 03 Accord V6 .

If not all , most of the women who owned cars drives it as what SILVER said na mo taod lang sa seatbelt kung mo taod man gani and then metal the pedal .

@ SILVER , imohang replacement parts are OEM or universal parts ? Basta OEM na German parts kay mahal gyud na ilabi na ug brandnew , sometimes swerte kung naay surplus .

most of the parts i used were made and originally for the car itself and seldom part for germans cars are universal, i have a cousin who works at BMW we have tried to compare some parts which they sold in thier showroom which have same brand with what i use the only defference it that thiers parts with same brand naa lang sila seal sa BMW and it cost more (about 150% more)and i used to work with AUDI and VW. yes some parts are expensive but menatainace wise it think tamba ra but the only thing is should have budget (japanese cars fisrt change oil is 1,000klm and next 5,000 while most europian cars first change oil is from 5,000 to 15,000 and the next would be every 15,000) one that is really expensive for these cars were the brake fluid for 1L will cost more than Php. 1,000.00 and with regards to some parts like rubbercups you cant buy one but buy the assemble just like when my brake rubber broke replace the assemble but minimal price of Php. 990.00(with 1 yr warranty) unlike asian cars you can just buy a rubber caps that would cost from 30 to 80pesos.

Ako prefer brand new... sige ko palit ug 2nd before... sige ilis piyesa when i found out my expenses it ended up buying a brandnew sa tanan nako nagasto. kung brand new wa pa labad sa ulo di paka mailad ug mga mekaniko. forget the depreciation value sa imu brand new car. ang importante di ka mahasol sa maintenance of a 2nd hand car. Trust me if maka afford ka bnew go for it even if utang. Hasol kaayo ang 2nd hand sa maintenance ug sa mga scam na mekaniko.
