for me i prefer the plastic ones,
well wooden boards looks nice and has a classic feel into it
the problem with wooden boards is how long you can maintain it.
and the sanitation. wood has a a lot of moisture and the chipped off parts of the board tends to accumulate food scraps and thus has a higher chance of bacterial growth
