MANILA, Philippines — Movie actor Rudy Fernandez succumbed to periampullary cancer at his home in White Plains, Quezon City at 6:15 a.m. Saturday. He was 55.
Fernandez had been battling the disease for more than two years.
The action star passed away five days after he was brought home from the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City, where he had been confined for a month. He and wife Lorna Tolentino celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

huh? dalia ra sa kinabuhi sa tawo noh...i just saw him on tv the other day...anyways, murag gina expect na man gyud cguro na. idol pa rba unta ni nako during my teen years...hehe
if i may add, and correct me if im wrong, his movies before as a "bida", usually mamatay gyud ni cya sa ending...i guess this also holds true to his real life. He battled the disease but died...all we have left is the moral lesson of the story. "Health is wealth".

“Lorna had wanted to call for an ambulance, but Rudy said no. He wanted to stay home and wait,” Solis told the Philippine Daily Inquirer Friday. “I think he already accepted his fate and wanted his family to do the same.”
“Rudy has difficulty recognizing people now. He has turned glassy-eyed,” Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., one of Rudy’s closest friends, said Friday.
Solis said Rudy is unable to speak out loud and just murmurs instructions to Lorna. The actor is now in constant pain and winces at the lightest touch.
