well let's keep this thing going... i'll just give you something to ponder...
everybody's been so busy trying to prove their point... im no expert...
just my 2 cents... let's call this "kutaw-libog"...

case 1: he's a direct selling franchise manager.

to get his "nice" percentage from the company he has to sell
    P300,000 sales target. what did he do? well he thought;

option 1: "if i get 300 people who can make P1,000 monthly sale for each,
then i'll hit my personal sales target of 300k."

option 2: "if i get 600 people who can make P500 monthly sale for each,
then i'll hit my personal sales target of 300k. the big bonus there is if some of them
sells beyond P500 worth of products."

QUESTION: unsa may huna-huna sa "ordinary" nga direct seller nga gapamaligya og
products monthly worth P500 or P1000?

ANSWER: wala lang. she doesnt think of the earnings
of "that" franchise manager. she's happy with her OWN 25% discount
from the company and she enjoys the profit from selling. she's
responsible of her own "retail" business.
if she wants to earn more ang get higher percentage of
discounts and rebates, she has to sell more... she needs to
"leverage" her time and sales effort thru other people...
with her strong desire and determination, she can also reach
the "franchise manager" position in no time.... she just have to work her
    way up to the ladder.

that's the "life" of a direct seller.

case 2: he's an insurance manager.

to get his "nice" percentage from the company he has to hit a
    P300,000 sales target. what did he do? well he thought;

option 1: "if i get 30 people who can make P10,000 monthly sale for each,
then i'll hit my personal sales target of 300k."

option 2: "if i get 60 people who can make P5,000 monthly sale for each,
then i'll hit my personal sales target of 300k. the big bonus there is if some of them
sells beyond P5,000 worth of insurance rights."

QUESTION: unsa may huna-huna sa "ordinary" nga insurance agent nga gapamaligya og
insurance monthly worth P5,000 or P10,000?

ANSWER: wala lang. she doesnt think of the earnings
of "that" INSURANCE manager. she's happy with her OWN commission
from the company and she enjoys her job selling insurance. she's
responsible of her own "income". she dont BLAME anyone whatever the outcome is.
it's her effort which brings the result.

if she wants to earn more ang get higher percentage of
commssions and overrides, she has to get more accounts...
its only possible if she "leverage" her time and sales effort thru other people...

with her strong desire and determination, she can also reach
the "supervisory or managerial" positions in no time.... she just have to work her
    way up to the ladder.

that's the "life" of an insurance agent.

here's the most exciting part (and i know your aching to prove your point...hehehe...)

case 3: he's an upline (an income earner of his MLM company).

to get his "nice" commission of P200,000 from the company every month he has to hit a
P3,000,000 sales target. what did he do? well he thought; (pls take note that the P200,000 commission is his "personal" sales target not a company's target or quota)

basic strategy: "if i get 500 people who buys our combo pack P6,000 every month,
then i'll hit my personal sales commission of 200k but i CANT do that alone. ill have to encourage the leaders (downlines) under my group to go for bigger commissions coz if they hit big, i'll hit big."

QUESTION: unsa may huna-huna sa "ordinary" nga downlines nga bag-ong palit sa ilang
combo pack (products) nga P6000 or those old people who are getting only smaller checks?

ANSWER: they'll be amazed. they want to "hit" big just like him.

(and youre right, i know what youre thinking, "only few reach the top". most of the people joining any MLM company are there JUST to buy hope and to quite the voice of discontentment in their mind. most of them have no-entrepreneurial skills. that's one of the reasons why they failed. it's like comparing a novice from someone who's "been there & been that". they still have to learn the ropes. MLM is no easy feat. it's not a get-rich quick scheme. it's a business of patience.

"sincere" professional networkers know that it takes 5-10 years to build a solid group and a steady passive income. it's a business that requires a great deal of patience.)

    Evaluate this perfect binary system:

    1st day = 2 recruits
    2nd day = 2 recruits enlisted 2 more (2 x 2 = 4)
    3rd day = 4 recruits x 2 recruits each = 8
    4th day = 8 x 2 = 16 recruits
    5th day = 16 x 2 = 32
    6th day = 32 x 2 = 64
    7th day = 64 x 2 = 128
    8th day = 128 x 2 = 256
    9th day = 256 x 2 = 512
    ....
    ...
    30th day = 1,073,741,824 recruits
    ...
    ...
    60th day = 1,152,921,504,606,850,000

On the 30th day, you have recruited ten-folds the population of the entire Philippines.

On the 60th day, you have recruited every living organism on planet earth.

In theory, MLM is designed to fail and stop somewhere. More so in the real world. You can't blame people for despising a deceptive marketing scheme. Only the newbies to MLM praise it to high heavens. It's only a matter of time before another former MLM practitioner gives up, because, according to him, he has no time anymore.
