JDM.. first nako kibaw anang JDM was all about engine performance and quality of the car..but mostly sa akong nahibaw-an karon, JDM has been a trend not for car performance but for the "JDM look".. what is jdm for you anyway?

my paj is a jdm (converted to left hand + radio frequency na kutob ra 80 + japan plates..paets..) i did lots of pa gwapa niya just to make it more like a local unit..but now that we have a new civic..y do other people say "ipa jdm look na uy".. other peeps even make their rides jdm look jud.. jdm for me is now a trend more than what it used to stand for...

and one more thing = JDM - Just Draining your Money

JDM - JAPANESE DOMESTIC MARKET ....

The problem now a days , specially sa mga nakita nako pod saying that their rides are JDM are not totaly JDM at all but are only referring to customizing their rides by slapping some aftermarket wheels , 5 inch exhaust tips and fake gauges and some improvements on the performance side .

JDM for me is the conversion of an AUTOMOBILE to look like exactly its counterpart in JAPAN .

JDM - must be precious kay mga hard to find stuffs esp. sa mga orig nga nakakabit sa imu car.. And I agree with bro SPRINGFIELD_XD_40..

In my own when i heard the word JDm first thing came out in mind is QUALITY. as far as i can remember when the time i starts using JDm products from car parts to gadgets, etc. quality, durability is the best i can describe. Nothing compares with JDm!!

the main topic for car owners today is the high fuel prices

lets be practical we will not go into the look of the car but our main concern is the high fuels prices.

Lets not spend our money with all that looks.

for me JDM is a theme for your car. anything you put sa imu car na JAPAN and will look like a car from japan is JDM. those are the rare items na JAPANESE. like kanan sa signal lights when you say JDM amber ang iya signal lights, as compared sa euro na all red. sa rims, anything but stock and hubcaps is JDM. JDM karon is more aesthetic nalng kay if mods sa engine nimu buhaton mahal kaau. dli ma dali dali compared sa looks. for example sa amu mazda JDM parts are the tail lights, ducktails, shiftknobs, anything JAPAN. ang seats kay racing seats. nya naa mga japanese stickers, emblem, decals etc.
like sa mazda we have different types of setup for JDM. naa infini, straighthood, interplay, ug mazdaspeed. bsta all in all JDM is theme of you car inspired by JAPANESE cars.

JDM is nothing PERFORMANCE or AESTHETICS guys . Its a transformation of a car to look like its counterpart in JAPAN . For example sa common and popular cars :

USDM HONDA CIVIC = JDM CIVIC
USDM ACURA INTEGRA = HONDA INTEGRA
USDM ACURA RSX = HONDA DC5
USDM LEXUS IS300 = TOYOTA ALTEZZA
USDM LEXUS SC300 / 400 = TOYOTA SOARER

Ang many more ...

- change the dashboards , relocate the steering wheel , acquirespecific factory wheels standard to that certain car , lights , seats , knobs , dials etc . It is not AFERMARKET but still of HONDA OEM parts manufactured and made in Japan .

Now when we say spcialized perfomance part authorized by the manufacturer ie MAZDASPEED , MUGEN , NISMO , RALLIART , TRD etc .... its a different story and its not JDM .

SOme Japanese friends considers also a car being a JDM even though the described part is an aftermarket one is because the part is only available in Japan . Special parts like Rays ENgineering wheels , BOmex and Veilside kits , Ganador mirrors , etc . Very hard to find you have to go to japan to acquire these parts or order it with a price of an arm and a leg .

JDM wrapping (an item that was wrapped in japanese newspaper,.... lol...)
