head cover ang tawag anang nasa pinaka taas or cylinder head cover. imo pasabot kun tang tangon nimo ang head cover then gadagan ang engine naa smoke mogawas? asa dapit ang smoke?

or you mean pag abrihan nimo ang oil cap or "oil filler cap" - kanang usually black ang color na hard plastic, nya naa smoke mogawas kung naka abri ang oil cap?

    Engine: 1300 4g13 IHE modification

Consumption (liter/km): Before 1L/13Km with IHE and Mags
Present 1L/15Km - 16Km with IHE, K&N CAI, light weight by removing sound system set up and, used stock rim size and stock tire size, small battery, AC ON but temp dial always in lowest position.

i love this forum very informative gyud
ug lingaw pud ang mga members hehehe

new question how about BIODIESEL the ones that flying V is selling is it worth it?
    do you actually save fuel?
    better ba ang mileage?

I mean the second one bro, kanang oil cap. Does it mean loose compression if nay mugawas smoke ba when opening that cap? And if nay tiny splashes of oil mugawas pud? 'Coz if mangutana kog mekaniko, lain lain man gud ni ilang mga opinions, maglibog lang ta. And what about if nay mugawas tubig pud sa muffler maski gamay ra, is the vehicle's condition still good?

Thanks for the explanation sa loose compression bro but it was too technical, i just wanted to know how to determine if it's loose compression kay dili na baya ta mag ukab sa makina pa if mutest tag car. Ang atoa na lang is mangitag signs for loose compression.

    try knowing your RPM first.

Just ask TAXI drivers about your idea.... SINCE THEY ARE THE ONE TAKING THE BRUNT of the price increase.....

yes you can shift below 2,000 rpm...

to that newbie eagath.... go play with your matchbox....

so far I haven't heard the correct logic from this Aztina888...... so to help this GUY(since I haven't seen any of his post)... ITS THE GEAR RATIO of the TRANSMISSION that will tell you when to make the most EFFICIENT shift.....

Keeping on insisting that low rpms will make you step on the GAS.... YOU are referring to below 800rpm where the engine would die..... if you shift from first to 5th gear THE ENGINE would CERTAINLY STRUGGLE and die.... but 1st gear to 2nd gear.... its the GEAR RATIO....

About the A/C thing.... the car even at 800rpm has power already... look at the CHARTS for HP and TORQUE relative to RPM.... the alternator converts mechanical power to electrical power for the A/C... the alternator takes some of that HP from the engine... but not all of it... AS YOU WOULD LIKE everyone here to believe... STRESS? if it were stress... TOYOTA, BMW, AUDI shouldn't have put A/C in the first place...

I think mastress gyud siguro ang engine if switch to aircon bro 'coz you can even feel the speed of the car changes when you switch off the aircon. And also, it consumes more gasoline when the A/C is switched on. Even on travelling very elevated places, some prefer to switch off the aircon 'coz it can add stress to the engine upon climbing up such kind of place.

Heck, if you don't want stress on your engine, don't use it hahaha joke3x... bitaw, everything (including just idling without the AC on) puts stress on the engine and engines are built to handle those types of stress.

Kidding aside I do enjoy the debate between Astina888 and ajol as this is what forums are all about.

Shifting at low rpms may save you gas. (notice the key word "MAY" and not "WILL")
So shifting at low rpms doesn't necessarily equals gas savings Then what does?!?

Actually I think ajol was describing this when he said gear ratio. This missing variable in this "equation" would be ENGINE LOAD. To simplify this you could say that engine load is directly proportional to how much you are stepping on the gas pedal

Because not all engines and gearboxes are created equal and not all engines have to carry the same vehicle weight. So you might be cruising at around 100km/h but you are just lightly tapping the gas pedal and beside you would be another car cruising at the same speed but the gas pedal is buried halfway. In this scenario, providing you both have the same gear ratio (as ajol was saying) hence maintaining the same rpm you get the better mileage than the car whose gas pedal is buried halfway.

Actually, the innova as well as other AUVs/SUVs get more mileage if they use a LARGER displacement engine. (you might be asking.. are you sure?!?! you must be NUTS!!!) Well, take for example the UNDERPOWERED and SMALL engined REVO 1.8liter, compared to the 2.0liter variant the 2.0liter gets more mileage at around 8-9km/liter while the 1.8 liter only enjoys 5-7km/liter. If you really want to save gas you have to get a LIGHT car with a small engine (think multicab). OR if you want to put the multicab 660cc engine in an innova you can actually atain the SAME mileage IF you have a 9 or 10 gear transmission box (OK, that was exaggerated a bit but I wanted to make a point) hahahaha

Anyway, I'm not good at explaining things so you might be more confused than when you started reading HAHAHAAHA

nope, dili na loose compression, normal na mu splash kung tangtangon ang cover. normal ra pud na naay tubig mu gawas sa tailpipe

loose compressioin in layman's terms = when a gas engined car starts to accelerate like a diesel and gulps gasoline like there's no tomorrow. plus you also get a free WHITE smokescreen coming out of your exhaust
