keep the number of categories short.
it doesn't look good to have a lot of categories w/ no posts.

Couldn't agree with you more.

Just to clarify, Unsani.com is not a classified ads site, although it has a section similar to this.

Unsani.com is primarily a user-generated business directory, like the yellow pages, not just for selling stuff online. It is also a products catalog for businesses listed in the directory.

So, a restaurant can post it's menu on unsani.com and each item on the menu becomes searchable, with pictures. A pension house can show their rooms. A housewife who sells desserts from her home can advertise her items online with pictures. The business directory will have her contact information and the Products catalog will show off her items.

The vision behind unsani.com started when I opened a business in Cebu and needed suppliers for equipment and supplies. Where do you go? who sells this stuff? who makes this stuff? The phone book is useless and the vast majority of businesses(especially home busines) in cebu do not have a presence on the internet.

I agree. Just remember though that the site has been online for 1 week so it will change as time goes by. As we grow and more businesses list on Unsani.com, tourists, balikbayans and locals will be able to search what's available in the philippines, from where to stay, what to do, who to call and where to buy.
