What an ignorant, callous, & infantile post! Even if you lived a million lifetimes, it would still pales in comparison to Ka Bel's simple, honest, & proletariat life.Originally Posted by Luskan

Errrr what?! Ka Bel is honest with all those luxury car he gains, give me a break!!
Luxury cars?Maybe youre just dreaming?Dont listen to hearsays.
Eh, what luxury cars are you talking about? Just because a ***** like baron says he has luxury cars does not necessarily make it true. If I say Beltran has a pet dinosaur in his backyard does that mean he really has it? This is a forum and people can easily make up stories..... Baron in Mendiola?? PLEEAAASSEEE. Baron does not even know where Mendiola is even if he is standing on it....Originally Posted by Luskan

Gamay ra gyud ang nagpabilin nga ordinaryo, sama ni ka Beltran. Sayang! He believed in his crusade - what I admire in him was that he also lived it. Dili pareha anang uban nga naglihok para daw sa mga kabos unya pwerting patambok sa ilahang mga bulsa.
May you rest in peace sir!
Church group hails Beltran as 'modern-day prophet'
05/23/2008 | 05:09 AM
MANILA, Philippines - A militant church group on Friday hailed the late Anakpawis party list Rep. Crispin Beltran as a "modern-day prophet" who stood against the chains of modern-day slavery.
The Promotion of Church People's Response (PCPR) cited Beltran's lifelong struggle to promote the welfare of workers, despite harassment from authorities.
"Though his leftist ideology was incompatible with the beliefs of traditional churches, the life of Ka Bel proved to be even more meaningful than those of the Christians who remained silent and passive in the face of social injustice," PCPR said in a statement posted on the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines website.
It added that the Philippines, especially its working class, needs more modern-day prophets (like Beltran) to champion the rights and welfare of the Filipino people.
Beltran died Tuesday after a bad fall in an accident in his house in Bulacan province.
Workers’ dignity and rights are grossly disregarded in the name of profits for big business and corrupt government despite the 1987 Constitution's provisions on social justice and the Church's Social Teachings on the value of human work, the PCPR said.
It added that labor leaders and striking workers were killed, imprisoned and subjected to brutal police and military dispersals in picket lines, while 'yellow unions' and their opportunist leaders have entered into self-serving deals with capitalists and corrupt government, which the late legislator heavily fought.
"Ka Bel proved to be a true champion of workers' rights even in the face of persecution under the Marcos dictatorship and the current Arroyo regime. For six decades, Ka Bel's life was consistently devoted for workers' rights and dignity. He championed the people's cause for genuine land reform, just living wages, job security and other fundamental human rights," said PCPR.
PCPR also praised Beltran for remaining blemish-free, despite many "perks" that the considered "great old man of the labor movement" can get while serving three terms in Congress.
"We church people have been challenged to march with Ka Bel and struggling workers who wished to reclaim the dignity of labor and workers' rights. As we now offer prayers and join the Filipino people in rendering the highest tribute to a dearly beloved champion of workers and people's rights, we pledge to keep the spirit of Ka Bel alive as we continue marching with the people," the PCPR said. - GMANews.TV
Talagang nakagawa sila ng paraan para sisihin si GMA?Oppression of Beltran led to poor health, death--KMU
‘Arroyo will pay’
MANILA, Philippines -- The leftist labor group Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU, May 1st Movement) on Wednesday blamed President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, saying the oppression by her administration led to the death of its former chairman, Anakpawis (Toiling Masses) Representative Crispin Beltran.
“She will pay for Ka [Kasama, comrade] Bel’s death,” KMU chairman Elmer Labog said.
Labog said Beltran’s more than year-long detention from 2006 to 2007 weakened the solon’s body and made possible the accident that killed him on Tuesday.
Beltran died Tuesday morning from head injuries he suffered after falling from the roof of his Bulacan home. He was 75.
“Peke at hindi sinsero ang pamahalaang Arroyo sa pakikiramay sa pagkamatay ni Ka Bel [The Arroyo administration is false and sincere in its condolences at Ka Bel’s death][,” Labog said.
In February 2006, when Arroyo declared a state of emergency because of a purported “Left-Right” conspiracy to oust her, Beltran was arrested on a more than 20-year old rebellion case.
In May that year, he was transferred to “hospital arrest” at the Philippine Heart Center (PHC), where he stayed until his release in July 2007.
“Arroyo should expect more protest actions and rallies from militant groups because she has to pay for what she did to Ka Bel,” Labog added. “The struggle continues.”
The KMU will welcome and pay tribute to Beltran’s remains late Wednesday afternoon at the Philippine Independent Church on Taft Avenue, Manila, where the late lawmaker will lie in state this week.
Tigilan na nila ang ginagawa nilang yan. Walang sense.
I say condolences to the family of Mr. Beltran but the acts and words of his supporters blaming the President for the demise of the late Congressman is really absurd. Wala na ba silang masabing iba? Pinipilit talagang isisi.
