A fun fact about the Spurs during their 7-game second round series against the New Orleans Hornets:
The Spurs stayed in 3 different hotels in their 3 trips to New Orleans. It was rumored that they switched their hotel for Game 7 for Game 5 out of some sort of superstition. But the reason is that the hotel that the Spurs would normally book during their regular season trips to New Orleans was unavailable for the first 2 games because of a jazz and heritage festival and was also unavailable for Game 7 because of a convention of the National Cable and Telecommunications Association. They only stayed at such hotel for Game 5.
More Spurs news:
Assistant GM Dennis Lindsey withdrew his name from the list of possible considerations for the GM opening for the Atlanta Hawks. Lindsey said that it boiled down to family considerations and he's also very happy with the Spurs organization. Lindsey joined the Spurs in September 2007 after spending 11 seasons with the Houston Rockets as the vice president of basketball operations. Lindsey replaced Sam Presti on the Spurs who left to become the GM of the Seattle Super Sonics.
Robert Horry:
After the hard foul he gave David West in Game 6, Robert Horry was expected to receive a hard time by the Hornets fans. Instead, Greg Popovich outsmarted the fans and fielded Horry in the late first quarter and early second quarter and his presence was hardly felt in the game until he hit a three point shot, his first of the entire series, with 8:35 left in the first half.
But according to Horry, it was nothing compared to the reception he got from the Sacramento Kings fans after draining a winning three point shot during the 2002 Western Conference Finals. The Kings fans were so loud during that time that even Phil Jackson wore ear plugs for the whole series and called Sacramento "cow town" (because of the cowbells they brought at Arco Arena).
My call: SPURS in 7 against the Lakers.
tsk tsk... luoya sa atong Spurs oy:
Night on the tarmac
By Johnny Ludden, Yahoo! Sports
When the San Antonio Spurs eliminated the New Orleans Hornets from the playoffs Monday night, they figured the hard part of their journey to the Western Conference finals was over.
Turns out it was only beginning.
In one of the more bizarre travel stories, the Spurs ended up spending the night on the tarmac at New Orleans airport.
The team had planned to fly to Los Angeles after the game, but arrived at the airport to find their flight had mechanical problems. With a cable convention crowding the city’s hotel rooms, the team couldn’t find any place to spend the night.
Some of the players slept on the plane while others moved to buses on the tarmac.
The team left New Orleans around 6:30 a.m. And arrived in Los Angeles a few hours later. The Spurs will have only a brief shootaround on Wednesday morning before opening the conference finals against the Los Angeles Lakers that night.

Murag voodoo na ni. Murag Game 1 is meant for the Lakers jud ani. Spurs have to snatch Game 2 and win two in a row to capitalize a 3-1 lead. Tsk, tsk, tsk... I don't know if they can do it though but hopefully Bowen still has enough left in his tank to get in front of Kobe's face all series long.
I put Spurs on top also, 4-3.
hehehe... mura man ni ug jinx... parehas sa nahitabo sa denver... kato naguba pud ilang bus... hahaha!Originally Posted by jasonrey

Lisod bya kaau ila mga contra karon nga playoffs. Who will think that they will beat Suns 4-1 hapit zerohi. Then the hard win against Hornets in their homecourt.
SPURS will defend their crown and still the NBA champion.. SAN ANTONIO SPURS...
