xeon are designed for servers and longer stability. 15K is good buy already...

A little correction, Xeons come from the very same binned chips and are not "more than stable" as its regular desktop counter parts, they are just tested in house a few laps longer.
The only main difference is that some xeons are multi socket capable.

Personally i dont think its a good buy UNLESS your budget is only 15k and you need it ASAP.

I built my friend a computer last feb, altho the cost is almost double the performance is more than triple in difference, main highlights are E2160 @ 3.0Ghz, 8800GTS 320MB, Abit IP35-E, 2GB DDR2-800 Team elite, 320Gb SATA HD, HEC 550Watts, ATX casing. no monitor included as she already has one.

so, an Abit IP35-E, 2GB DDR2-800 Team Elite, 320GB SATA HD, HEC 550W and a decent budget VCard, say the HD 3650? what can you say? 5K(around 3-4K for the Team Elite, not sure)+3K+4K+4K = 19K? hm, medyo mahal, pero chui na man kaha ni? or i'd opt for a lowly 7200 GS cause this is not for gaming anyway.

It would be more expensive yes, but its far worth it. buyers regret will come in later if you decide to get the outdated system.
