Again, not entirely true. A lot of tube pedals use a starved plate voltage design - google it to know what that means, and a lot of non-tube pedals sound way better and raw than those tube ones.

And I actually have a tube distortion pedal (Seymour Duncan - not a starved plate design pedal) and yet did not make it to my pedalboard. :mrgreen:
