anyway, this is the great question: Is Ferdinand Marcos a hero? Bayani ba si Ferdie? if we take his earlier years as the president, i have to admit the early Marcos can be molded around the term 'Hero' as he did more for the Philippines and the people than anyone else before him. but he also became one of the most notorious and infamous dictators that the whole world recognizes. we can't just forgive and forget his dictatorship years. no way, juan de la cruz! afterall, "A great man who died dishonored can never again regain respect - he can be forgiven, but the title of hero can never be given back."

I find it truly wrong that Marcos should be buried among heroes... the man was about power and control and his regime's abuses were more terrible than what the Spaniards, Americans and the Japanese did... they were at least foreigners, but here we have Filipinos torturing their fellowmen just because these wanted to stand up for their rights!

In respect that he was a president of this republic and if we want to make reconciliations, why not Marcos be buried in his own cemetary... in the burial grounds for villains and traitors
