I would like to share with you the pieces of advice given to me by Chef Heny Sison and Chef Jill Sandique that it would be better for someone to have a bachelor's degree first before taking up a culinary course so you could always have a fallback in case you will not be able to make it in the culinary scene.

I will be teaching INFORMAL CLASSES sa BASIC CULINARY / FRUIT and VEGETABLE CARVING and GARNISHING sa USC SOUTH CAMPUS this summer . Those interest can inquire sa Dept of Home Technology in the college of education .

Wala pa ko nakahibalo sa details , requirements , fees etc but I can guarantee it will be way more cheaper than those specialized Culinary ARts schools in Cebu .

hi all! i'm new here and i love cooking. i don't have a degree for it, and certainly i'm not working in the industry. i've been cooking all my life. just love making something out of nothing.

anyway, here's my tip, hope wa pa ni napost na tip, though.. to all those who love ampalaya but gets offed by the bitter taste, DON"T MIX THE VEGETABLE THE WHOLE TIME YOU'RE COOKING IT. you can use a turner to flip it on the other side, but just don't stir ala stir-fry. there's something about mixing it in the heat that releases the bitterness. hope you find the tip helpful.[br]Posted on: May 12, 2008, 10:21:42 AM_________________________________________________
