try using notepad++ plus its functions plugin
but honestly im using vim-lite...

a bundled package so that you wont be manually installing php, mysql, apache

download the php installer(.exe) or zip file. for the beginners just use the installer para way hasle pero mas maayo kung manually ninyu i install para kabalo jud mo anyway sayun raman nah just extract the zip file in your drive c and then path it in the system environment (for eg. C:\Php5.2.5).

After downloading or setting up the php you have to download apache http server. dapat dli magsabay naka run sa services ang IIS ug apache cuz magconflict.

for the IDE i recommend eclipse or Netbeans 6.x. just install the PHP plugin for the Netbeans.
