actually, they have been monitored and regulated by our Health dep't... kana diayng "hygiene" nga gitawag nila every week for GRO's and dancers...ang kaapan lng pgka karon is dili ma monitor kung these workers are accepting clients for *** in exchange for money and they don't have proper health benefits, & protection from abuse and exploitation from pimping. not to mention cyber ***. worse, hasta minors maapil sa illegal prostitution.

so maybe if ma-legalize na ni ug ma-implement ug tarong, mawala na ug ma ban ang "pimping" ug kanang gitawag nga "street prostitution". ky if ever made into law in tandem to our ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING LAW, it will be limited na to properly designated *** brothels and escort services. dili na ka mka kita ug hookers & pimps maglaray sa dalan whenever you visit Kamagayan or other places like it at night. So our law enforcement on this matter will have more teeth...

as far as i see it, it will be a mutual benefit for all (well, except the Church). The owners will now have legal grounds to operate a licensed *** brothel that follows strict rules dictated by the new law, and at the same time the workers will have better health benefits, rights against abuse and human trafficking, and, the freedom of choice if they want themselves to avail of giving sexual service or not. in addition, the gov't will have better grounds to collect more additional taxes other than liquor and business taxes in the form of, say, "ESCORT SERVICE TAX" or whatever you might call it as long as it belongs to one of the SIN TAXES...imbis na malibre ang tag-iya nga walay tax, ma-taxan na cya.

for example, nisulod ka ug bar nya naa kay giganahan nga dancer to take out or pay the management for *** inside one of their "licensed" private rooms. The usual is that you pay the management w/o getting any invoice or receipt ky illegal transaction man. so if ma-balaud nani, that transaction will now be legal & taxed.

    just my 2 cents though...

first:minors should not be allowed in the trade. they must wait until 18 years old.

workers should have cards with id that has their health status.

kanang masakiton dili allowed to continue working or their type of service should be limited

**you cannot deny those people their right to make a living

if they dont have any other skills, why not let them practice what they are good at.

also they have to eat too like all of us. they have to support their families.

wheres your hearth folks. let them work. anyway they are not stealing money from the government

and they are not begging. they are just working. like all of us who are lucky to have jobs which are hard to

    come by.

.. i absolutely agree. Most prostitutes became one not because they wanted to but because they are forced into. They come from poor families that they don't have any college diploma or even high school or even elementary diploma to brag, hence, they can't get into a "day-job". Legalization doesn't mean that we are promoting STDs or turning into an immoral country, it's only practical to legalized to monitor the activities of professional prostitutes.

absolutely correct...at least kung ma-legalize na ni, naa nay mka tabang nga law nga mkapa kusug pa ug maayo sa ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING LAW. Coz most of the prostitutes we have here comes from human trafficking.

A typical scenario of a probinsyana who wants to try out her luck in the city. An agent recruits her for a waitress job but ends up in a "casa". We all know naman that this clearly violates our anti-human trafficking law and it's up to the authorities to implement it & punish those involved. On the part of the gov't, its the NBI, Police and DSWD who are more involved. Let's say na-rescue ang girl and was put into psychological therapy at DSWD for the trauma she experienced until she was declared fine. but later on, she still wants to find a job in the city so that she can send money home for her family.

She had a hard time finding one so as a last resort, she applied to one of the "licensed" *** brothels and was accepted.
Now, this legalization of prostitution provides more protection and screening for the workers and at the same time the customers. Ma involved na more ani ang DOLE, DOH, and BIR. DOLE for the protection and welfare of workers, DOH for strict monitoring of health cards, and BIR for the collection of additional sin taxes generated by legalized prostitution.

.. yep, that's mostly the case. They have no choice but to become a prostitute, as prostitutes say "MAO RAMAN NI AMO MAABOT KAY WA MAN MI KAHUMAN SKWELA, SAYON RA KWARTA".

.. legalization is sometimes synonymous with control.

this should never be legalized. if you are a wife, would you ever encourage your husband to use a prostiture if you are too tired? in one way or another, your son will know this.. just imagine
