Setting up an HTPC- Plasma or LCD, what are your thoughts?

Setting up an HTPC system for a client. Which is better for video viewing, Plasma TV or LCD? Heard that LCD is killing Plasma in Japan.

i just think dat LCD is a bigger bang for the money,.... if ur gonna go for LCD,.. just make sure u get the HDTV (i would perfer something like da Sharp AQUOS 1920 x 1200 res..... it was clear as hell,.... if i had da money i would of got it,...
but if not,.... get an LCD with 1680 x 1050 res. or 1366 x 768 <--- dont go lower thn this,...
when da lights die out,.. i think its only like 200 buckz to get it fix'd,.... (but u hav 80,000 hours b4 dat happenz)

with plasma screen hook'd in a comp. with high resolution,.... ur burning more gas thn u should be,... and the clarity and brightness fade'z faster,.....

they say plasma is good for like 8 - 10 years,... at this point u'v already burn'd about 40% - 60 % of the gas (w/c means 40 - 60% brighter and clearer from the point u got it,.... (some brandz may claim about 15 years b4 it hitz da half life,.... but dat not proven yet)

ay ryan,..... lookin' into DLP,..... it projects better dark or black image's thn LCD'z,....

correct me if i said anything wrong,.... coz i said alot of shiet,...

I agree.. LCD is more bang for the buck As for the DLP his area isnt that big. I recommend projectors only for bigger areas Thanks Cholocoy, great info!
