Then they found out nga tungod diay ning Gloria tanan. It all started atong nihangyo si Gloria sa Prime Minister sa Vietnam to purchase some metric tons of rice para sa Pilipinas. Pagkahibaw sa uban countries nga desperado kaau si Gloria mopalit ug bugas, naratol dayon sila kay abi nila naa nay rice shortage. Then ang uban ni-take advantage gipang tagu-an nila ilang rice mao to nisaka dayon ug kalit ang presyo. In some places kay nag wild ug nag gubot na ang mga tao tungod sa "Rice Crisis"...

Para daw sa mga experts, ang kagubot nga nahimo ani nga issue gikan jud sa presidente sa Pilipinas.. tsk tsk

kung nihangyo c PGMA sa Vietnam to purchase rice, sala diay niya nga nahimong gubot ning rice isyu sa world? pagka dakong binuang!!! No logic there my friend...

and what basis do the the other countries to say nga "desperate" cya sa paghangyo? Sa price? Even if we call that an act of desperation to ask for a lower price, that intention is just like any other business where you renegotiate for a lower price. The purpose is to provide cheap NFA rice that the gov't can subsidize at a lesser cost. That is why we still have that 18.75/kilo since the issue was blown out of proportion. We should even thank her for that.

So far, ang akong gi-blame ug dako ani is the MEDIA!!! They are very quick to grab this issue as a very good headline. They all know that any issue under the sun about PGMA sells...They don't care if the people would panic. They only care more about their TV ratings ug halin sa newspaper. Even if ang media would only say, "ALLEGEDLY WE ARE in a rice crisis", do you think it won't have an effect on the minds of the people? Do u think it would not create a bandwagon effect? think about it...

IMHO, mao cguro c PGMA ilang unang nakit-an or nadunggan nga nihangyo sa Vietnam, ky c PGMA man ang pinaka unang ni-action dayon, ky as an economist, she might have seen it (rice price crisis) already coming...
