i think it comes down to how the both of you view this situation:
Is it against your values?
Do you have marriage plans in the future? If so, is it necessary for the growth of your relationship? (and don't just think of saving boarding expenses)
How will it affect your family relationships?

It's different for every couple, and the important thing is the both of you agree or have the same values. If both of you agree, so be it. If you don't agree or just in it for the wrong reasons, then don't do it! Living-in before marriage is not for every couple. Some relationships work best when the cohabitation is after marriage, especially if both of you are religious.
