The Suns' problem is their second half collapse, as always. I've got my two thumbs up for the Spurs defense but as long as Steve Nash is playing well for the Suns, they can still bounce back.
If San Antonio wins at least 1 in Phoenix, then I'd say surrender na ko. . They have to figure out their second half jinx.
Nash was uncharacteristically "panicking". His passes were read well by the Spurs and it showed in the 3rd quarter that they were forcing their shots. I guess it's also because of the defense. What I do not understand is D'Antoni's insistence on going with Diaw when Stoud was very hot during the 1st half...
Is it his fault that D'Antoni cannot coach?Originally Posted by sadahkingjam

Kudos for the Suns...^^
Steve Nash is Steve Nash...
A genius, consistent, two-time MVP, one of the greatest PG all time...
I would cheer for the day when Nash would finally get a title...
Amare has a lot of growing up to do, maturity-wise to be a leader like Tim Duncan... Talent? Undeniable! I think he could be even better than KG as he matures...
The Suns needs competent supporting cast role-players that would step-up when needed and is consistent in every game and when it matters the most...
Diaw, Barbosa, Giricek, Skinner, Bell so far is so ridiculously inconsistent in games 1 and 2...
Grant is excusable with a groin injury... I wouldn't question his talent, determination and heart...
Well the series has just moved to Phoenix... Unless the Spurs can win on the road, there are no guarantees...
Spurs fans better not get too excited yet with the Diesel and Nash leading the young Suns...
And yes ocelot... Mike D'Antoni can coach in MY OPINION... He is the genius behind the Suns aside from Nash. Even with a small line-up he has managed to get the Suns to win 50 games every season he has coached with Steve Nash on board, even when Amare was sidelined with a microfracture injury... I would blame Kerr, not D'Antoni... Kerr should focus on getting better, reliable role-players instead of an aging all-star past his prime... Mas ganahan pko ni Chris Kaman ila g apas kaysa ni Shaq...
The Suns' problem is consistency. They're the better team in the first half of both games and suddenly lost composure in the second, even in their regular season games.
But still got high hopes now that the Games 3 and 4 will be played at Arizona.
nyahay, murag suns fans thread na ani ba.
to add, idol man nako si nash! hihi.
I appreciate the Spurs and the Suns...
I wouldn't root for the Suns because I just think that trading Marion for Shaq was a big mistake... That's it... Love the team... Love their style of play...
Sayang lang jud kaau c Marion.. Rather get a younger reliable big man like Perkins, Pryzbilla, Okafor, Kaman if ever these players would be free agents and move Matrix to the 3 spot...
I like the Spurs because of Tim, Pop, Finley and Manu... And the "evil" Bowen hehehehe...
And a bit about coach D'Antoni...
"In 2003, D'Antoni was hired midseason (61 games left in the season) as Phoenix head coach and, despite leading the team to a poor record in the second half of the year, he received a vote of confidence for producing inspired play from an injury riddled team. The next season, D'Antoni helped the team to acquire Steve Nash, which began an incredible turnaround for the franchise. Since then, D'Antoni has coached the team to four consecutive 50+ win seasons.
D'Antoni was selected to the coaching staff for the Team USA Olympic Basketball squad under head coach Mike Krzyzewski and participated in the 2006 FIBA World Championship, winning a bronze medal. Pundits believe his familiarity with the three-point shot and the zone defense, hallmarks of the international game, will be valuable assets to the team."
PHX 2003-04 61 21 40 .344 6th in Pacific Missed Playoffs
PHX 2004-05 82 62 20 .756 1st in Pacific Lost in Conf. Finals
PHX 2005-06 82 54 28 .659 1st in Pacific Lost in Conf. Finals
PHX 2006-07 82 61 21 .744 1st in Pacific Lost in Second Round
PHX 2007-08 82 55 27 .671 2nd in Pacific In Progress

Heck, the fact he helped bring Steve Nash to Phoenix pretty much says his impact with the Suns...
