Why will there be a need for "public debates in person"? Either if we need it or now, don't you see that "THIS" is a "PUBLIC DEBATE". Just get the logic out of this ....

I know that there are such differences between a "face-off" and an "online-forum" debate. Kabalo ko ana uy .... common nila is that PUBLIC DEBATE gihapon ni siya .... The latter observes "order-of-the-court" and the other observes "netiquette"!

debate?? public forum?? i think doing debates here is enough.. coz one of the reasons why a public debate should take place is that, a fight between both parties will just occur, and we cant stop that, that's just the way it goes, if thats going to happen, whats going to happen next?? maglagotay ang fellow istoryans.. ngeks.... diri man gani naa nay personal attacks, samot na sa personal.. and this is a friendly forum and we have the mods to watch over the forumers...

mao bitaw gikinahanglan gyud ning face-to-face formal or informal debate/forum aron ang maong activities makatabang sa ilang pagkat-on unsaon pag-conduct sa ilang kaugalingon sa sama ani nga kalihokan. mao bitaw gitudlo ni sa kolehiyo, kay makatabang sa mga tinun-an.

moabot ra ba gyud ang panahon nga sa trabaho o laing pang pundok ug kalihokan, dunay gyu'y bangi sa opinyon. unya dili na pwede dad-on ang mga binata nga pamaagi gihimo sa uban dinhi sa istorya.

this could be a good activity among the members of istorya.net. i'll bring this up with the admins.

my only worry is the capability of the members to control themselves during and after the debate.
