ref Joe Cortez did a terrible job again (same with Hatton-Mayweather), he didn't even gave BHOP a warning for headbutting and too much clinching...

JC brought the fight to him, BHOP was barely throwing a punch...

i don't know if it's just me but i actually find the fight exciting cause JOE C made it exciting & i was rooting for him...

if it was a close fight like you said then dapat naay possibilty na manalo si joe diba?, but being almost always on the defensive will not look good on the judges.yes clinching is a part of boxing,but there is also "excessive clinching" which according to the boxing rules daw the ref can deduct point(s) for it.

why not CALZAGHE was the effective aggressor all night & BHOP was merely trying to survive the fight by 'excessive' CLINCHING & award winning acting just to get a few minutes of rest...

BHOP was trying to impose his will, trying to slow down the pace of the fight but CALZAGHE would let him do that & keep pressuring him that's why he was running out of gas by the 9th round..
