Steve Kerr never made the Shaq-Marion trade for the Spurs. Maybe if he'd say that the Suns did it for the Lakers, then it's near half-truth.

The Suns traded for Shaquille O'Neal so he could help them get past the Spurs and into the NBA Finals. The idea was that he could continue to mesh with his team in the early rounds of the playoffs. Well, that plan has gone into fast forward, as no one expected these two teams to meet in the first round. One team with a legitimate chance of winning the championship will be going home early.

The Suns and their fans still have scars from last year's six-game loss in the second round, and now they get the defending champions to start this year's playoffs. The stage is set for another classic.

okay Bowen's main job is to intimidate..

scoring is for the big three, rebounds is for TD n Oberto and stealing is Manu's game.

the SUNS must win game 2. it's hard to contain from a 0-2 deficit. Shaq n Amare must limit shoving on Duncan to avoid early foul trouble.

i don't think its luck. its basic basketball when manu kicked it out to duncan when he could have easy two against nash but he considered the 3 point suns lead that moment. look at the way duncan plant his feet on the floor and letting the ball fly for his first trey of the season. there's no sign of desperation.

and talking about plays, manu's game winner could have been another kick out pass on both baseline trey for bowen and udoka. but the contact that he initiates against bell gave him a clear look at the basket. so he threw it in.

again it's not luck. manu is excellent enought to find those defensive suns loopholes. i can see it myself too when nash & hill leave their respective man on the last play of 2ndOT. the more defensive lapses the suns make the more options the spurs to choose & take advantage of.

suns need to win game 2.
