MVP -> Kobe Bryant.. Not even CP3 and LeBron can come close to the "Black Mamba" now. The Lakers just defeated the Spurs and claimed a solo lead in the West
ROY -> Kevin Durant or Al Thornton.. Thornton did a great job filling in for Elton Brand's shoes while KD was posting big numbers for Seattle, proving that he really deserve all the hype and being the number 2 pick overall.
MIP -> Al Jefferson.. a consistent double double and 20-10 performer lately and became a star and the go to guy for Minnesota, numbers and responsibilities KG left. And worth noting is Jefferson playing all 80 games for the Timberwolves so far this season. He's pretty durable too.
6th Man -> Manu Ginobili.. Nothing much, he's the best off the bench. Leading the defending champs in scoring and coming off the bench is something, not even second running Leandro Barbosa can come close to the race.
Defensive Player -> Josh Smith.. One of the reasons of Atlanta's sudden rise and possible playoffs appearance. J-Smoove is also a constant fixture at the Daily Top 10s with his blocks.
Coach of the Year -> Phil Jackson or Byron Scott.. Doc Rivers should've been on my list but the Lakers and Hornets did great without players of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen's caliber plus noting the fact that the West has been very highly competitive. Rick Adelman deserves a spot but the Rockets' current placing might hurt his bid.
