ang crisis sa rice kay dili ra sa pinas... its a global phenomenon,..im here in dubai and the prices of rice is expected to rice at 40%... it will increase because india, pkistan, thailand and other rice exporters arelimitng or prohibitng rice exports.. i've read sa Guld news, sa america, rice have doubled itsprice since january, the biggest inflation among basic commodities... our country is doing its best to counter such crisis but it is quite beyond their hand now unless somebody caan conjure millions of tons ofrice before our eyes...

sa aokng opinion lang bout aning rise crisis. it's manipulated kai nangandamang uban nasud sa "global warming". yet di pa ni siya moabot but it may happen. as i watched the video of former US senator al gore bout global warming. ang iyang study nagbase sa theory sa mga scientist nga global warming may happen gyud. mao nga naghinay-hinay na ang nasud nga moimport ug rice; pamundo nga di na mosupply sa atong nasud ug sa lain nasud.

ang changes sa agricultural land into industrial...also big farms tend to plant "corn" than rice -- biofuel nya mas mahal.
not all nations eat rice..sa africa mostly they eat "casava", europeans -- potatoes / bread. sa US -- bread, potatoes big mac, subway?!...climate change delays the harvest. nation's big suppliers of rice are Thailand and Vietnam...

sa Pilipinas too much politics, too much corruption less farmers..all rice-eater

the current crisis of world capitalism is the main reason behind the rice crisis not only in the philippines but to aother countries also. and take note, its not only the rice prices that skyrocketting now my friends, and not only in our country. there are massive protests now in Haiti and Egypt against high prices.

the only solution to the crisis cause by decadent capitalism is to detsroy this system. destroy the system that is based on PROFIT and WAGE-SLAVERY. SOCIALIZED THE OWNERSHIP OF THE MEANS OF PRODUCTION.

dili sab sulba d ang state control kaya ang state mismo mao ang usa sa hinungdan sa krisis....

Since this is a global concern, there could be things beyond our control. Other countries are dealing with rice crisis right now while we are being given ample protection by the government with the ample rice supply that we currently have. I'd even like to think the government is able to face the rice concern with control. To think that other countries are in so much trouble now, yet we still have enough supply of rice in the country.

Nonetheless, the government should also provide that we still have ample rice supply in the future. Hence, the initiatives of the government with regard to rice production among others to secure sufficient rice supply.

All I can say is that "bati jud kaayo ang sistema sa pang-governo ang pinas", mao na nga kitay ga suffer ug maayo. GOVERNO natu pwerteng batia!!!
